Baseball Recap: Swett Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Swett can now relate to. They lost 13-3 to the Los Molinos Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

James Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Swett: the team is 11-1-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7-1 otherwise.

Swett's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-2. As for Los Molinos, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-6.

Swett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Molinos, they will take on Etna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.2, the Lions 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
