Softball Recap: Windber Comes Up Short

Windber was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to Fannett Metal. The Ramblers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fannett Metal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Windber saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Mannipo, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Windber's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Fannett Metal, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Windber wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against North Star on the 23rd. As for Fannett Metal, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Williamsburg on the 23rd.
