Football Recap: Eagle's View Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Eagle's View won against Rocky Bayou Christian last Friday with 22 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Warriors walked away with a 22-14 win over the Hilliard Red Flashes. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Eagle's View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Garland led the charge by rushing for 43 yards and two TDs, while also picking up 63 receiving yards and one score. The Warriors also got a significant boost from Jacorri Lavoile, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 122 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eagle's View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 226 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Eagle's View's defense stepped up as well, laying out Kolt King. 7.5 times. The heavy lifting was done by Teyon Jackson and Lavoile, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them. Jackson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11. Eagle's View got some further help from Tyson Callum: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

Eagle's View now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hilliard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Eagle's View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 50-14 win against Cedar Creek Christian on the 19th. As for Hilliard, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-48 defeat against St. Joseph Academy on the 19th.
