Basketball Recap: High Point Central Victorious

If Atkins wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played High Point Central, they should've done a better job of containing Josiah Hill. The High Point Central Bison enjoyed a cozy 65-46 win over the Atkins Camels on Wednesday thanks in part to Hill, who went 8-for-19 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. He is becoming a predictor of High Point Central's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 8-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah Lockhart, who went 6-for-12 en route to 18 points. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high.

High Point Central's record is now 14-8. As for Atkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-19.

High Point Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-38 victory against Southern Guilford on the 14th. As for Atkins, they have also already played their next matchup, a 69-43 defeat against Rockingham County on the 14th.
