Basketball Recap: Scott Takes Down Kingman in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Scott had no trouble coming through when it counted. They breezed past the Kingman Eagles to the tune of 73-28 on Friday. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Scott was led to victory by Avery Radke and Jackson Rumford. Radke dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards, while Rumford dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Rumford's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eloy Ruelas, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Scott, bringing their record for this year to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points over those games. As for Kingman, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Scott will be playing in front of their home fans against Norton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scott knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Norton likes a good challenge. Kingman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
