Softball Recap: Southern Lee Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Southern Lee's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Hoke County Bucks on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cavaliers have suffered against the Bucks since May 2, 2022.

Southern Lee's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hoke County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Lee will take on Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Hoke County, they will challenge Union Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hoke County's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
