Softball Recap: Decatur Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Decatur Eisenhower lost to Rochester back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers lost 16-1 to the Rockets. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Decatur Eisenhower saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makaela Luthey Harner, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Decatur Eisenhower has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Rochester, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Decatur Eisenhower has already played their next contest, a 19-0 defeat against Normal University on the 21st. As for Rochester, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Glenwood on the 21st.
