Soccer Game Preview: Marion vs. East Noble

The Marion Giants will take on the East Noble Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Noble will be up against a hot Marion squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Giants' defense stepped up to hand Peru a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. It was an even better day for Christofer Vasquez as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Noble had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Eagles 5-1. Given East Noble's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Columbia City are ranked 212th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marion's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for East Noble, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
