Basketball Recap: Rock Port Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Rock Port won the last time they faced Mound City and things went their way on Saturday too. Everything went the Rock Port Blue Jays' way against the Mound City Panthers as the Rock Port Blue Jays made off with a 66-46 win. The Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Rock Port's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Meyerkorth, who went 7 for 15 en route to 20 points along with six steals and five boards. Meyerkorth's afternoon made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Logan Ellis was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Rock Port is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Mound City, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.
