Baseball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

New Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Paintsville Tigers, falling 14-3.

Dawson Cambron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.

New Hope's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Paintsville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, New Hope will host Randolph School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paintsville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Paintsville Tigers challenge Breathitt County Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
