Basketball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a hard 60-42 fall against the Cornerstone Christian Cyclones. The Illineks lost against the Cyclones in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-19 score last time.

Despite the loss, Urbana University still got an impressive performance from Olisa Allanah, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristen Ting, who earned ten points.

Urbana University's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.

Urbana University will challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
