Volleyball Recap: Martin County Tigers vs. St. Johns Country Day Spartans        
        
		
             Martin County entered their tilt with St. Johns Country Day on Saturday with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with  a   2-0  victory over the St. Johns Country Day Spartans.
 Martin County easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20,  25-13.
 Martin County was led to victory by  Kaylee Alvarez and  Linda Capps.  Alvarez  had nine  digs and two  aces, while  Capps  had eight  digs. That's the most  aces  Alvarez has posted  in her last nine  matches.
 Despite the  defeat, St. Johns Country Day saw an underclassman step up:  Olivia Clark  had three  digs and 15  assists. Clark is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in the last ten games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Martin County's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for St. Johns Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-13.
 Martin County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  defeat against Academy of Central Florida National on the 5th. As for St. Johns Country Day, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-1  loss against Space Coast on the 5th.
