Basketball Recap: Western Branch Comes Up Short

Western Branch was the 65-63 winner over Manor when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Western Branch Bruins fell 54-43 to the Manor Mustangs on Saturday. The game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Western Branch and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Manor, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Western Branch and Western Albemarle will round out the year against one another at at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Manor, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nansemond River at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
