Throckmorton scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 54-45 to the Forestburg Longhorns. If the Greyhounds were looking for revenge after losing 46-33 to the Longhorns when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Throckmorton and nudges their season record down to 1-6. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-7 Forestburg and 1-5 Gold-Burg. As for Forestburg, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Coming up, Throckmorton will take on Strawn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Strawn will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Throckmorton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Forestburg, they will square off against Gold-Burg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will be up against the Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
