Football Recap: Whittemore-Prescott Comes Up Short

Whittemore-Prescott was the 68-36 winner over Rogers City when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals had to suffer through a 40-8 loss at the hands of the Hurons. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rogers City found their leader in sophomore Bryan McKinstry, who threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 70 yards on only eight carries. McKinstry is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Whittemore-Prescott's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rogers City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Whittemore-Prescott will square off against Au Gres-Sims at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rogers City, they will take on Heston Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
