Recap: Eldorado Golden Eagles vs. Farmington Scorpions        
        
		
            
 On Saturday, The Eldorado Golden Eagles faced the Farmington Scorpions in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eldorado snuck past Farmington with a  44-40 win. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for Eldorado as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Among those leading the charge was   Brandon Olivas, who threw for 336 yards and five touchdowns.  Jahari Morehead was another key contributor, picking up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 When it comes to explaining why Farmington lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Griego Trel. Despite the final result, he rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 224 yards and  a touchdown. Trel is on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's now  punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.  Meechan Jared got in on the action  too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Eldorado's victory  bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Farmington, their defeat was  their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4.
 Eldorado will  take on West Mesa at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in New Mexico (West Mesa is ranked 18th, while Eldorado is ranked 16th). As for Farmington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Cueva at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in La Cueva's favor is that they have now posted big  point totals  in their last six matches.
