Basketball Game Preview: Tolsia Rebels vs. Grace Christian

The Tolsia Rebels will take on Grace Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tolsia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row dating back to last season, Tolsia turned things around against Sherman on Saturday. They managed a 48-43 win over the Tide.

Bray Mollette was nothing short of spectacular: he almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Evan Ball, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Tolsia was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grace Christian). They walked away with an 85-78 victory over Pipestem Christian Academy last Saturday. Grace Christian pushed the score to 72-49 by the end of the third, a deficit Pipestem Christian Academy cut but never quite recovered from.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Tolsia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Tolsia came up short against Grace Christian in their previous matchup back in February, falling 85-80. Can Tolsia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
