Basketball Recap: Council Grove Has No Trouble Against Mclouth

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rock Creek, Council Grove was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the McLouth Bulldogs as the Council Grove Braves made off with a 67-41 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-18.

Brycen Palmquist was his usual excellent self, going 12 for 20 to rack up 29 points. Drew Buchman was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and four steals.

Council Grove's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for McLouth, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Council Grove will face off against Cair Paravel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLouth, they will take on Horton on Tuesday.
