Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Newman Smith Trojans
The Ranchview Wolves will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Newman Smith Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Ranchview has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
Last Friday, Ranchview suffered a rough 48-27 defeat at the hands of Denison.
Jadyn Smith put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 11 points. Ashlyn Simpson was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Meanwhile, Newman Smith came up short against Boyd on Tuesday and fell 48-41. It was the first time this season that Newman Smith let down their fans at home.
Ranchview has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Newman Smith, they have yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 6-6 record.
Ranchview came up short against Newman Smith when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 44-31. Can Ranchview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
