Softball Recap: Clear Lake Takes a Loss

Clear Lake came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Kelseyville Knights by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Faith Mcintire was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Clear Lake has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Kelseyville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.

Clear Lake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Calistoga on the 16th. As for Kelseyville, they have also already played their next match, an 8-3 loss against Cloverdale on the 15th.
