Baseball Recap: Pac-Five Wins High-Profile Contest Against Damien

Pac-Five faced Damien in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Pac-Five sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Damien. This was payback for the Wolfpack, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Pac-Five's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alika Ahu, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave Ahu a new career-high. Colten Amai Nakagawa was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Pac-Five and bumps their season record up to 4-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing ten hits in those games compared to only five in the others. As for Damien, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
