Kingston can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wallkill Panthers 3-1. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kingston got a great performance from Matt Martin as he struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Martin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kingston's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Purvis, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Jake Martino also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Kingston's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Wallkill, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

As of now, neither Kingston nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
