Baseball Recap: Thousand Oaks Comes Up Short

Thousand Oaks lost against Calabasas back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lancers fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 9-8. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

James Luderer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Thousand Oaks' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 10-11 when he doesn't). Dylan Sax was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Thousand Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Calabasas, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

While Thousand Oaks had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
