Basketball Recap: Fleming Takes Down J.R. Tucker in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Fleming had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the J.R. Tucker Tigers, posting a 58-14 victory. The Colonels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Fleming's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amari Worsham, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Worsham a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Signae Houston, who went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Fleming smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Fleming's 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points over those games. As for J.R. Tucker, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.
