Basketball Recap: Athens Comes Up Short

Athens lost against Circleville back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to the Tigers.

Maddie Blakeman was a one-woman wrecking crew For Circleville. as she dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Cramer, who posted nine points.

Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Circleville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Athens has already played their next matchup, a 64-42 win against River Valley on the 9th. As for Circleville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-47 victory against Logan Elm on the 6th.
