Kaplan has gone a perfect 3-0 against Westminster Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Pirates will challenge the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. Kaplan's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Westminster Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Kaplan proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Church Point 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted against the Bears since March 16, 2016.

Meanwhile, Westminster Christian Academy got the win against Berchmans Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Dreylon Pitre was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Westminster Christian Academy: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Kaplan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster Christian Academy, their record now sits at 9-10.

Everything went Kaplan's way against Westminster Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Kaplan made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
