Softball Recap: Albany Takes a Loss

Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Haskell Indians. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Albany's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Haskell, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Coincidentally, Albany and Haskell will both be playing Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene the next time they take the field. The Indians will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on the 27th.
