Tocoi Creek came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mount Dora Hurricanes as they made off with a 4-0 win. Considering the Toros have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Mount Dora with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hailey Porterfield (2), Miranda Schwartzberg, and Savannah Malota.

Tocoi Creek's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. As for Mount Dora, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-6-1 record.

Tocoi Creek has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Nease on the 24th. As for Mount Dora, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eustis at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
