The West Linn Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Lake Oswego Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. West Linn is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
On Friday, West Linn made easy work of Lakeridge and carried off a 19-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
West Linn got a great performance from Audrey Tiffany as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Tiffany has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Meg Allen was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Avery Wolf was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
West Linn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeridge only posted an OBP of .238.
Lake Oswego couldn't beat Oregon City on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Lakers fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 7-6.
Kaiya Carnegie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
West Linn's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Oswego, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
Everything went West Linn's way against Lake Oswego in their previous matchup last Wednesday, as West Linn made off with an 11-1 win. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Lakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
