With a playoff win on the line, Helias rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Blue Springs Wildcats with a 26-21 victory. The win was just business as usual for the Crusaders, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

When it comes to explaining why Blue Springs lost, don't look at Wyatt Erickson. Despite the final result, he threw for 402 yards and three touchdowns. Erickson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is 7-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Corey Mayfield also helped out as he racked up 112 receiving yards.

Helias' victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Blue Springs, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Helias will square off against Nixa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight games. Blue Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
