BRUNSWICK, Ohio -
Brunswick (Ohio) jumped out to an early lead against
Solon (Ohio) and never looked back on the way to a 31-19 victory on Saturday.
The Blue Devils put up seven points in the opening frame. Brunswick scored on a touchdown run by
Keith Yohman.
BHS was up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Yohman in the first quarter.
The Blue Devils saw their 14-point halftime lead fall to 11 entering the fourth.
Drew Barksdale played well for the Comets. The senior quarterback caught two touchdowns.
Yohman stood out for Brunswick in the win. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which Solon took, 56-3.
Brunswick (6-3) will play a Northeast Ohio - Valley game against Medina next week, while Solon (4-5) will take on Strongsville also in a Northeast Ohio - Valley game.
