Soccer Game Preview: Lovejoy vs. Whitehouse

The Lovejoy Leopards will square off against the Whitehouse Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitehouse took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lovejoy, who comes in off a win.

Whitehouse will be up against a hot Lovejoy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Lovejoy's defense stepped up to hand Sherman a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Leopards have won six games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Whitehouse's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mt. Pleasant by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lovejoy pushed their record up to 10-4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Whitehouse, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4-6.
