Volleyball Recap: Colonie Central Takes a Loss

Colonie Central came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Shenendehowa Plainsmen. The Wolfpack were not able to make up for their loss to the Plainsmen from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

Amya Cohen paced Colonie Central's offense, picking up four kills. Cohen got some help from Aylla DeFreitas and her eight assists. Ella Blodgett and Macy Buff kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Colonie Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Shenendehowa, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Colonie Central has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Beekmantown on the 12th. As for Shenendehowa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Ballston Spa on the 16th.
