Basketball Recap: Firestone Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Firestone can now relate to. They were beaten by the Hudson Explorers 60-14 on Wednesday. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.

Despite the loss, Firestone still got an impressive performance from Kennedy Whiting, who posted seven points.

Firestone has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. Hudson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Firestone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hudson, they will face off against Avon at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hudson has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 172 points over their last three games.
