Basketball Recap: Tyrone Takes a Loss

Tyrone and Penn Cambria squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Tyrone had to settle for second. They lost to the Penn Cambria Panthers at home by a 67-50 margin. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 77-43.

Penn Cambria's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Lilly, who went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points along with five boards and three steals. Those 16 points gave Lilly a new career-high. Caden Gibbons was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Tyrone's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Penn Cambria, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Tyrone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Penn Cambria, they will take on Bishop Guilfoyle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Guilfoyle will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Penn Cambria surely won't give up without a fight.
