Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pittsfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Southwick Regional Rams, falling 3-0. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Pittsfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Pittsfield still got an impressive performance from Kayla Crupi, who had seven digs and two aces.

Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Southwick Regional, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsfield will welcome Mount Greylock Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwick Regional, they will host Hampden Charter School of Science at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
