Volleyball Recap: Arvada West Beats Centaurus for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Arvada West won the last time they faced Centaurus and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Arvada West not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Centaurus between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.

Evan Kabat paced Arvada West's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kabat got some help from Kei Martin and his 28 assists. Martin was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Arvada West pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Centaurus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arvada West will venture away from home to face off against Pomona at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Centaurus, they will head out on the road to square off against Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
