Basketball Recap: Milford Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Milford Mavericks didn't have quite enough to beat the Durand Railroaders and fell 36-34. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Izabell Konesny, who posted 17 points and four steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Marissa Harper was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Milford's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Durand, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford will square off against Annapolis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durand, they will face off against Saginaw United at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
