Softball Recap: Byron Nelson Wins Going Away Against Bishop

Byron Nelson picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over the Bishop Badgers. The result was nothing new for the Bobcat, who have now won three contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Byron Nelson let Madison McBride and Arianna Morales loose on the outfield. McBride went a perfect1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Morales scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. That home run marked the first that McBride's launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Thompson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Byron Nelson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Byron Nelson's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bishop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Byron Nelson will be taking part in a tournament against Dawson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lyford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
