Basketball Recap: Delphi Community Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Delphi Community Oracles came up short against the Logansport Berries and fell 47-37. The Oracles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Delphi Community lost, don't look at Maddy Brown. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Makayla Smith was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Logansport got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kellen Cripe out in front who posted 14 points and five steals. Cripe has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie Risley, who scored 15 points along with five assists and four steals.

Delphi Community's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Logansport, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-17.

Delphi Community has already played their next matchup, a 58-11 loss against Tri-County on the 28th. As for Logansport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-14 defeat against Lewis Cass on the 28th.
