Flag Football Recap: Apalachee Sets Scoring Season-High Against Morgan County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apalachee). They blew past the Morgan County Bulldogs 32-6 on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Kassidi Jordan went supernova, rushing for 64 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

Apalachee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jamiyah Doyle and Shantal Sanvee. Sanvee has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Apalachee and bumps their season record up to 5-12. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Morgan County, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Apalachee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-12 defeat against Oconee County on the 18th. As for Morgan County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 49-0 loss against Loganville on the 18th.
