Basketball Recap: New Berlin Eisenhower Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

New Berlin Eisenhower lost to Franklin back in December of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The New Berlin Eisenhower Lions strolled past the Franklin Sabers with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Sabers are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, don't look at Brenna Nichols. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Nichols is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madeline Lemke, who scored eight points.

New Berlin Eisenhower's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Franklin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

New Berlin Eisenhower wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-31 victory against Greenfield on the 16th. Franklin has also already played their next game (against Indian Trail), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
