The Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 77-32 loss at the hands of New Life Christian Academy. Raleigh Christian Academy was down 66-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Raleigh Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jonathan Hopkins, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Garris Massey, who scored seven points along with four steals.

New Life Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jamir Loftin, who scored 33 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Raleigh Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for New Life Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raleigh Christian Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. New Life Christian Academy will take on Community Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Community Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 21 matchups -- so hopefully New Life Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
