Basketball Recap: Methacton's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Methacton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They strolled past the North Penn Knights with points to spare, taking the game 68-54. 68 seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Methacton pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for North Penn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Methacton will venture away from home to face off against Norristown at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Methacton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Norristown likes a good challenge. As for North Penn, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Bucks East at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
