Basketball Recap: Hardin Takes a Loss

Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kirbyville Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Kirbyville, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-14 record.

Hardin will venture away from home to square off against Orangefield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kirbyville, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Kirbyville Wildcats take on the Anahuac Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
