Basketball Game Preview: Capital Bruins vs. Belgrade Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Capital Bruins and the Belgrade Panthers will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Capital came up short against Billings West last Saturday, falling 66-45. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Belgrade was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Big Sky, falling 51-22.

Capital now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Belgrade, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Capital was able to grind out a solid victory over Belgrade when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 32-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for Capital since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
