Volleyball Recap: San Leandro Gets the Win

San Leandro won the last time they faced Arroyo and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pirates walked away with a 3-1 win over the Dons.

San Leandro was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 24-26, 25-13, 25-11.

Alexandra Santos paced San Leandro's offense, picking up 17 kills. Santos got some help from Jayden Aranzamendez and her 22 assists.

The victory got San Leandro back to even at 12-12. As for Arroyo, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-13.

San Leandro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mt. Eden on the 9th. As for Arroyo, they will welcome Hayward at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The Farmers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Dons surely won't give up without a fight.
