The Walter Johnson Wildcats won against the Whitman Vikings last Monday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Walter Johnson snuck past Whitman with a 46-42 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Walter Johnson.
Walter Johnson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elizabeth Martin led the charge by scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kendall Alexander, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Walter Johnson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Whitman, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
Walter Johnson will be playing in front of their home fans against Quince Orchard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Walter Johnson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. Whitman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wootton at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Wootton is coming into the match with five straight defeats at home, meaning Whitman will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
