Soccer Game Preview: Mount Dora vs. Eustis

The Mount Dora Hurricanes will face off against the Eustis Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Eustis will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Mount Dora extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Hurricanes came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Leesburg. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mount Dora's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Leesburg are ranked 335th).

Andy Perez was the driving force of Mount Dora's attack as he scored both of Mount Dora's goals, bringing his season total up to 18 goals.

Meanwhile, Eustis had just enough and edged out Atlantic 3-2 on Thursday.

Mount Dora's victory bumped their record up to 15-2-1. As for Eustis, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Mount Dora got the 'W' when the teams last played back in December of 2025 against Eustis by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
