Basketball Recap: Biggs Victorious

If Maxwell wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Biggs, they should've done a better job of containing Skyler Long. The Biggs Wolverines simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Maxwell Panthers 70-36 thanks in part to Long, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. He has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last six times he's played.

Biggs' victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Maxwell, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biggs has already played their next contest (against Williams), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Maxwell Panthers face off against the Portola Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Portola has four straight wins, Maxwell has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
